Focuses on poses that combine the yin and yang, masculine and feminine energies. Classes typically consist of poses held for longer to create heat in the body, followed by cooling and relaxing poses. Hatha Yoga cleanses the mind and body while providing benefits of increased strength, balance, and a calm clarity.
Yin yoga targets muscles and tissues deeper beneath the surface by holding poses anywhere between 5-20 minutes at a time. NEVER stretching to the point of pain. The practice cultivates mental and physical stillness, along with injury prevention, increased range of motion and blood flow that aids in tissue and muscle repair. This class pairs various poses with acupoints using fingers, thumbs, or other tools, to promote additional energy or pranic flow and healing.
Provides a deep, quiet, relaxation for the mind and body. Passive poses are held anywhere from 5-10 minutes in seated or lying down positions supported by props.

Ayurveda is a holistic system of medicine that began in South Asia about 3,000 years ago and can be considered yoga's sister science. This four week training pairs yoga and Ayurvedic principles to teach students how to use different yoga techniques in addressing common imbalances and how to pair yoga with the seasons. Each training class is 90 minutes.

Cedar & Sage always tries to offer common items found around the house as alternative props. Prior to your event you will receive a list of required props or these alternatives. Examples of alternatives:

Blocks may be replaced with books, chairs, or stools
